Tennis Lessons
By Colin Jones
Why would anyone choose to attend tennis lessons? Well, even
if tennis seems to be very easy to practice, it still relies
heavily on technique and strategy like any other sport. For
most beginners it is very difficult even to hold the racket in
their hands and hit the ball as they should. The ball seems to
have a direction all of its own when they
try to hit it. And the court looks incredibly big the first
time they are on it.
These are the mere impressions of a beginner who does not
know anything about moves, hits and strategies. He or she would
probably opt for tennis lessons before actually daring to get
in a game with someone on a real court.
Nowadays tennis lessons are advertised in all kinds of
media. So it is pretty difficult not to find an instructor
ready to help you in exchange for some sort of a charge. Some
instructors prefer to offer tennis lessons to complete
beginners and they know that this is not an easy task because
working with beginners requires a great deal of responsibility.

In a way, it very much resembles the job of a primary school
teacher who has the role of giving basic skills in reading and
writing to his or her students. It is commonly agreed by all
teachers and instructors that these very basic skills cannot
miss or be wrongly acquired if effort and determination are put
into the learning process. The same thing goes with tennis and
tennis lessons.
On the other hand, there are instructors who advertise
tennis lessons meant to improve the skills that players have
already acquired. They would most likely focus on ground
strokes, overheads, volleys, serves, spinning techniques,
offense and defense tactics and various strategies of the
overall game.
Most instructors that advertise tennis lessons have pretty
much experience in tennis playing otherwise they would not
dare take up responsibility of teaching
others. Most are coaches within certain sport clubs and have
gained experience in working with both children and adults and
with both beginner to intermediate and intermediate to advanced
students.
Even though you are looking for cheaper tennis lessons, a
good tip would be to always choose a trainer or instructor that
has been certified by the professional tennis association in
order to receive high quality and standard training. Most
likely, those that are not certified by this association would
offer cheaper tennis lessons but there is no guarantee as to
the quality of the services they provide.
